Forests are essential to the global carbon cycle and the preservation of biodiversity
(Feysel and Abdi, 20201). Ethiopia stands out as one of Africa's key nations for biological
resources, featuring a rich variety of flora and fauna (Abiyot et al., 20192). To tackle the
effects of climate change while promoting socio-economic growth, Ethiopia has integrated
climate resilience into its development strategies, notably through the Climate Resilient
Green Economy (CRGE) initiative (Dessalegn and Tesfaye, 20183). This initiative aims to
achieve middle-income status by 2025, following a carbon-neutral development path way
(Fisseha et al., 20194).
